Panama: Event organisers team up to launch container cold chain conference

Cool Logistics Resources Ltd and TOC Events Worldwide have announced that they will partner to stage the first TOC Cold Chain conference stream at the 12th TOC Container Supply Chain Americas event, taking place 4-6 December in Panama.

TOC Events Worldwide, part of IIR Exhibitions Ltd, an Informa Group company, organises the well-respected TOC Container Supply Chain conference and exhibition portfolio, with four annual events in the Americas, Asia, Europe and Middle East. Cool Logistics Resources organises the specialist Cool LogisticsTM conferences for users and suppliers of perishable logistics and transport, with an annual global conference in Europe and a second in Africa. Under the agreement, Cool Logistics Resources will support TOC Events with input to content, speaker selection and external communications for the TOC Cold Chain stream at TOC Americas.

Taking place over one-and-a-half days, TOC Cold Chain will focus on reefer container trade developments across North and Latin America. Conference sessions will discuss the outlook for perishable exports and imports on North-South and East-West trades, how to address the current rate and capacity volatility in reefer container shipping, container cold chain infrastructure at ports and inland, and technology and best practice for safeguarding cargo quality and safety.

“Cool LogisticsTM and TOC Events share a common vision of providing a complete platform for their respective supply chain communities, bringing together cargo owners, 3PLs, carriers, ports, inland logistics and other key freight supply chain stakeholders to discuss current challenges and foster new business solutions. We are delighted to be working together to bring a new container cold chain dimension to TOC Americas this year,” said Alexander von Stempel, Co-Director, Cool Logistics Resources and Paul Holloway, Event Director, TOC Events.
