"It is a difficult task to be able to supply all customers but we are doing everything possible to have enough strawberries," says Jackie. "The shortage of strawberries also has a positive impact on prices. They bring in twice as much as much in comparison to last year at the same time. Prices are now pretty high, around 4 to 4.50 per kilo." The fruit trader indicates that in Germany there is a large deficit. "But it is expected that by the end of the week there will be more supply."
Momenteel wordt mooier weer verwacht, maar of de volumes nu ook sneller toenemen? De handelaar hoopt van wel. "We leven van dag tot dag. Het is nu nog niet precies duidelijk wanneer er meer aantallen gaan komen, maar hopelijk snel, want nu is het soms hard zoeken."
