US: Alabama fruit early

Alabama fruit crops are early this year as a result of the warm winter weather.

Peaches, for example, are two to three weeks earlier than usual. Strawberries and blueberries are also early.

Consumers are being advised to get stuck into the fruit at the earliest opportunity as an early start to the season is likely to mean an early end.
