Croatia: Frost causes record fruit damage

Frost and unusually cold April temperatures have caused somewhere in the vicinity of 120 million Euro worth of damage to apples, mandarins, pears, cherries, plums, peaches, apricots and strawberries in Croatia.

A spokesperson for the Croatian Fruit Growers Association (HVZ), says in all the years that records have been kept on the country's fruit cultivation, nothing as severe as this has ever happened.
