Chilean summer fruit featured in kids cooking classes

This past February and early March, Chilean peaches and grapes were featured in 40 free kid’s cooking classes hosted by Northgate Gonzales Markets Miguelito’s Cocina Club in Southern California.

Steve Hattendorf, Western US Regional Merchandiser for the Chilean Fresh Fruit Association said: “This was an exciting retail promotion to participate in during the peak of our Chilean Summer fruit season. The kids had fun preparing tasty Choco-Peach-Crepes along with grape sticks.“

Northgate Gonzales Markets is a 41 store chain based in Anaheim, CA. Their new program lets children who join the cooking club receive a free apron, passport, button pin and certificate. If they attend six classes this year, they also will earn a free gift card.
