Northern Provinces
The largest part of this region has completed packing. A few remaining producers expect to complete packing in two weeks time. It is expected that this region will end in line with the crop estimate.
Orange River
This region is nearly done with packing. Only a handful of producers are packing the last red grapes. The expectation is that this region will end their season at about 20.5 million 4,5 kg cartons.
Olifants River
This region's packing is in full swing. In areas where water was a problem, it was relayed from cash crops to table grapes.
Berg River
Producers in this region are very positive about the harvest. They are preparing to harvest most of the grapes within a shorter window due to the grapes being ready at the same time. The volume of Crimson seems to be higher compared to last year.
Hex River
The harvest is in full swing. The volume of Crimson seems to be higher compared to last year. The middle part of the harvest looks very promising due to new cultivars coming into full production.
