Chinese Dalian Tianbao celebrates first US apple shipment
The company received access to the American market last year, and is now cooperating with a number of selected import companies.
"This is our first shipment to the US and we are thrilled. The US has strict inspections on imported goods and high quality standards. Therefore we do not focus on growing our exports rapidly. Instead we are focusing on quality and establishing a number of trade partners with whom we can work closely together. Compared to other exporters to the US, our numbers are small.
The apples are grown near Dalian in the Northeast of China. First shipments have been sent to New York and LA. The apples will be distributed on wholesale markets and supermarkets.
