China to become third largest export market for American pears

"As Chinese consumers are paying more and more attention to their health, in the next five to ten years, China is expected to become the third largest export market for American pears, after Mexico and Canada." said Yong Liang Wu, China representative of the American pears association. The export volume of American pears to China will reach one million cases. American pears belong to latter type of ripening that differs from Asian pears. Therefore, American pears will become soft and ripe after being placed in a normal temperature for three to five days after purchase, in order to achieve the most sweet and juicy taste.
