Coles and Woolworths stopping waxed apples

Coles Woolworths have announced that they are moving away from a practice that many may not have even known they did. For a long time now grocery outlets have been waxing our produce, making them more attractive to the eye with a healthy shine.

While many shoppers are optimistic about the move, stating it is a more natural approach with zero additives, others aren't so pleased. Some growers warn however that the move is a bad idea as wax can protect apples making them last slightly longer.
