There were representatives of the various chambers and industry associations, such as the Association of Producers of Blueberries from Argentina's Mesopotamia (Apama), and the Argentine Chamber of Producers of Blueberries and other Berries (CAPAB). Dr. Raul Robin, Engineer Paul Vernengo and Jorge Pazos, from CAME, also attended the launch and expressed their support for the activity. Claudio Rogers, from MR Berry; Diego Armaleo, from TCI; Gonzalo Estevez, of Carsol, and Fernando Loureiro, of Newport Cargo, are among several of the many sponsors of this important event.
It worth noting that the linkage between the national, provincial, and municipal governments with the private sector is essential for the industry to develop its full potential, which is what is happening in the case of the production and export of blueberries. For this reason, Governor Gustavo Bordet gave the president of ABC a declaration of provincial interest in the IBO Summit 2016 during the ceremony, thus conveying the importance of holding the event in the city of Concordia in conjunction with the city of Salto, in Uruguay.
This year, the International Blueberry Organization will conduct this annual event in Concordia, Argentina, and Salto, Uruguay between the 20th and 22nd of September. Registrations for this renowned event are open.
