According to the Turkish Exporters Council, the value of Turkish apple exports reached $180 million last year, reaching 80 countries around the world. The number one importer was India, receiving 68 million dollars-worth of the fruit. Then came Russia, with 36 million dollars of imports. Libya ranked third in importing Turkish apples, with a value of 16 million dollars in 2021.
The Turkish exports volume to Libya reached $2.4 billion in 2021, an increase of 65% over the previous year, while Libya's share of Turkish exports to the world was 1.06%.
