EarthFresh Farms to showcase organic potatoes at OPS

Another company that has exhibited at the Organic Produce Summit since the inaugural show in 2016, EarthFresh Farms is looking forward to another year of talking organics. EarthFresh works with farmers all over North America and offers both conventional and organic options for a number of potato varieties.

“This is our fourth year exhibiting at the OPS – we signed up the first year and look forward to it every year – it’s on our favourite list!,” said Stephanie Cutaia of EarthFresh Farms. “When it comes to Organic potatoes, EarthFresh has everything. We offer all of our conventional potatoes in organic offerings as well, including: Russets, reds, yellows, and whites. As well, we have a full line of organic baby potatoes that includes reds, yellows, mixed (including purples) and a new red & yellow duo bag.”

“The size of the show is just right”
The Organic Produce Summit is held at the Monterey Conference Center. Attendees and exhibitors alike have noted that this venue allows the show to be in a compact format. This is helped by the fact that booth space is capped at around 150 exhibitors and all booths are the same size. Aside from the size of the Summit, Cutaia said the caliber of attendees as well as the programs that run as part of OPS are equally important and are a great draw.

“It brings together a dynamic and forward-thinking group of people,” she observed. “The speakers and educational sessions are very informative and I leave feeling very inspired. I particularly like how right from the Gala Opening Reception, the OPS show agenda keeps the attendees & buyers together with the exhibitors at the learning sessions and lunch. As well, the size of the show is “just right” – not too large and not too small.”

New products on show and new facilities
EarthFresh Farms said they have a bevy of new topics to discuss with visitors to their booth. The company recently announced the opening of a new facility in College Park, GA, which is equipped with new technology. “The new facility in Georgia will support new and existing customers in the USA,” Cutaia shared. “It is scheduled to open in September 2019 and will be complete with advanced technological packing line for organic potatoes, allowing us to provide fresh produce faster.”

Cutaia also mentioned that the company has introduced some new products as well as packaging options. “Along with our new Baby Duo 1lb package, we have a new Organic Baby Baker Foil-Wrapped 4-pack for the upcoming BBQ season. Alongside our Organic Potato Family, we also have organic yellow and red onions.”

We want buyers/attendees to know that EarthFresh can service all their organic potato needs and are constantly working to innovate in this growing market,” she concluded. “We are working to more sustainable packaging that will meet both customer and consumer demands. EarthFresh is a part of the new CPMA Plastics Working Group that will identify the challenges and opportunities facing the produce industry, as well as its relative importance in reducing total plastic waste in Canada and globally.”

Visitors to the Organic Produce Summit can find EarthFresh Farms at Booth #509.
