The seventh edition of TuttoFood, an international event held in Milan and dedicated to the worlds of agriculture and high-quality food, ended on May 9th 2019.

82,551 operators attended - 21% foreigners from 143 countries with 12 new entries (from Central America, the Middle East and North Africa) - to meet the 3,079 Italian and international exhibitors. Most foreign visitors came from the US, Spain, France, Germany, UK, China, Canada, Benelux, Japan and the Russian Federation.
A few exhibitors lamented a drop in the number of visitors and the fact that Macfrut was organized during the same days.

As the pace of life changes, so do food habits. Consumers purchase fewer products yet tend to prefer premium ones, thus accentuating market segmentation. Products are returning to the rural culinary tradition sparking images of something very distant from large-scale industrial productions

Ready-to-eat products are still growing, nuts have become very important within a healthy lifestyle and the popularity of organic food is increasing as well as that of exotic dishes. Superfood snacks are also doing very well.
Operators suffering from the consequences of abnormal weather are not doing so well - some of them are even losing their entire production.
