Macfrut 2019 has only just ended and the staff at Cesena Fiera, headed by Renzo Piraccini, is already thinking about the 2020 edition, which will be held on 5th-7th May and will focus on tomatoes.

After a slower first day, visitors as usual peaked on the second day and, despite many leaving on the Friday, there were still quite a few people until 2 pm. According to organizers, at least one thousand visitors attended the various conventions.

Operators were rather pleased, especially when it came to the conventions and events. Others, who only decided to take part at the last moment, were a bit disappointed with the location of their stalls.

A few innovations discussed during the Macfrut Innovation Awards were rather interesting but, most of all, visitors could see products and solutions that are already available.

Many lamented the fact that the edition of TuttoFood in Milan took place during the same days, so much so that many operators commented on the Italian incapability of "acting as a single network" and on the "lack of cohesion" conveyed on both the national and international levels.
