After Turkey, Serbia and Russia

Italy: Mela Modì® arrives in Uruguay

Starting from 26th June 2013, the Frutec Group in Uruguay will become part of the Modì® international project.

The Modì® project, started in Italy in 2005 when the CIV - Consorzio Italiano Vivaisti, patented the brand, reached 650 hectares in the Northern hemisphere in 2013, 485 in Northern Italy alone.

Many prestigious Partners worldwide are part of the programme and are therefore involved in the promotion of a high quality brand interested in the health of consumers and of the ecosystem. Modì Europa Spa combines some of the main Italian groups with Ozler Tarim Urinleri Uretim Pazarlama San.Ve Tic A.S. in Turkey, Delta Agrar in Serbia and Zao Sad-Gigant in Russia.

Mauro Grossi, the president of the CIV, explained that, "Modì®'s international team promotes strategies for the coordinated development of quality policies and branding for the production, sale and promotion of Modì® worldwide thanks to the constant technical support provided to international producers and to the planning of innovative marketing actions suitable for each destination market."

The feedback has been good both from the European trade and at an international level, where the organoleptic qualities of this kind of apple - juiciness and crunchiness - are much appreciated, together with its eco-sustainability and long shelf-life. Integrated management, sales and promotion policies on the international markets mean that all of the protagonists of the chain are involved in a sustainable development model that can guarantee high quality standards.

Grossi concludes by saying that, "the complete affirmation of Modì® at an international level remains the main objective of the CIV and of its dealers."
