The fair took place on 28 and 29 November in Tbilisi

Agro Food Expo in Georgia sees positive results

"This was our first time participating in this exhibition, and we are happy with the results. We plan to expand our business in Georgia," said Omar Papi, the CEO of Futura Srl, at the conclusion of the Agro Food Expo in Tbilisi. "From here, we will also expand to Armenia and the surrounding countries. At the fair, we had the opportunity to meet with partners and customers from Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and other countries. We greatly appreciated the opportunity to meet and converse with them face-to-face."

The visitors were all highly specialized. Agriculture is very important in Georgia, and the government is encouraging specialization. Currently, the main needs are apple processing and, to a lesser extent, stone fruit processing. Most of the operators requested small-capacity plants from us."

Papi continues: "Our strength lies in creating custom plants according to our customers' needs. They want small, simple, compact, and delicate plants for processing and calibrating products. These features enable our customers in Georgia to export their products."

The Agro Food Expo aims to promote the growth of Georgia's and the Caucasus region's agricultural industries. The expo also seeks to contribute to the country's economic progress. "This event," Papi concludes, "serves as a platform for presentations to international producers and distributors, facilitating meetings between representatives of foreign and local companies. Importantly, it fosters an environment conducive to establishing mutually beneficial partnerships, relationships, and an effective distribution network."
