Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru (BLR Airport) transported 921 metric tonnes of mangoes during the FY 2025 season to 51 destinations worldwide, an increase of 12% compared to the previous year. The shipments, equivalent to 3.15 million mangoes grown in Karnataka and neighbouring states, were carried by 24 airlines to markets including Dulles, Dallas–Fort Worth, San Francisco, Chicago, and Seattle.
This season's exports included 19 new destinations, representing a 21% increase over the previous season. Satyaki Raghunath, Chief Operating Officer of Bangalore International Airport Ltd, said, "At BLR Airport, we take great pride in being a trusted link between our farmers and global consumers. The success of this mango season speaks to the collaborative efforts of our regulatory bodies, airline partners, cargo handlers, trade promotion councils, trade bodies, and farming communities."
BLR Airport has retained its position as India's leading airport for perishable cargo processing for the fourth consecutive year. The airport's operations continue to facilitate market access for local farmers and agribusinesses, enabling them to supply consumers worldwide.
