Masseria Fruttirossi's strategy to penetrate new markets

Worldwide shipping of juices also in 200 ml cartons

In addition to glass and PET bottles, Masseria Fruttirossi's Lome brand juices will soon also be available in Tetra Pak carton format: This is the latest novelty proposed by the Apulian company, Italy's leading producer of pomegranates on 400 hectares.

Dario De Lisi, the company's sales manager, explains why the company has decided to package Lome Super Fruit juices also in cartons. "Our products are in great demand abroad as well, where many buyers appreciate their properties and flavour. Many European and non-EU customers have asked us to purchase our juices in Tetra Pak cartons as, compared to glass, their weight is significantly lower, thereby allowing easier management when it comes to both transport and storage, and ultimately also when it comes to sales."

In addition, Tetra Pak cartons also seem to open up interesting business possibilities in the vending sector, a segment that is growing strongly worldwide. "It is not possible to use glass containers in vending machines, as products are dropped. Many foreign customers have therefore specifically asked us for 200 ml cartons for the vending channel. Some negotiations have already been successfully concluded, and the first containers will leave for the Far East as early as September, starting with the two 100% pomegranate and clementine juices, and then proceeding with the Clementine, Pineapple, and Mango mix. This type of packaging is also preferred in the foreign retail trade, although obviously in larger formats. It is a market segment that we are exploring."

Masseria Fruttirossi has always been a green company with both field and factory processes based on eco-compatibility and circular economy. As is well known, Tetra Pak juice cartons are generally disposed of as paper, although some municipalities do have specific regulations. It is also a good idea, if possible, to remove the plastic cap and throw it in the plastic bin.

All Lome Super Fruit juices are 100% pure cold-pressed fruit with no added sugar, preservatives, or colouring agents: a true concentrate of health and well-being. They are nutraceutical products that differ significantly from drinks with low juice percentages, often made from fruit concentrate grown in non-EU countries.

Available in multiple big retail outlets and in the H&R channel, the 'Lome Super Fruit' juice line includes six products, two of which are pure juices - pomegranate and clementine - plus four mixes: two pomegranate-based, "Pomegranate, Strawberry and Raspberry" and "Pomegranate, Ginger and Lemon", and two clementine-based, "Clementine Pineapple and Carrot" and "Clementine, Pineapple and Mango".
