The first air shipment of Vietnamese lychees for the 2025 season has arrived in the United States, as reported by Bao Quang Ninh. Imported directly from Bac Giang province by Houston-based companies L&V Food Supply and Choice, the initial batch totalled 2 tons of fresh lychees.
Leveraging over 20 years of experience in U.S.-Vietnam trade, L&V Food Supply and Choice have successfully expanded distribution beyond the Vietnamese-American community, placing lychees in hundreds of retail points across multiple U.S. states. The lychees are now available at major Asian supermarkets in Texas, including Houston and Dallas, and will soon reach outlets across the northern and western U.S. states during the summer.
In addition to lychees, Vietnamese pomelos and other speciality fruits are also being introduced to the U.S. market through these importers. Major retail chains such as H-Mart and H.E.B. are among the partners distributing these products nationwide.
The Vietnamese Trade Office in Houston continues to play an active role in supporting these export efforts, providing matchmaking services, facilitating business visits, and promoting Vietnamese speciality produce to American importers. These efforts are helping to build stronger bilateral trade ties and expand the presence of Vietnamese fresh produce in the competitive U.S. market.
