New UK berry development site opens in Kent

Driscoll's, a family-owned berry producer, has inaugurated its consolidated UK headquarters in Linton, near Maidstone. The US-based company, known as a company specializing in "fresh strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries," has established Europe's largest dedicated berry development facility. This site is described as "the first of its kind in the region to provide a fully traceable journey from seedling to pack house, all in one location."

This new six-hectare facility on Redwall Lane allows Driscoll's to manage both branded and private label berries. The site supports the complete process from seedling to fruit development. The company has maintained a presence in the county for over 20 years.

Wyard Stomp, managing director EMEA at Driscoll's, stated, "The opening of our new UK headquarters represents the next chapter in our journey in the UK, one that builds on collaboration with Kent and its local communities." He further mentioned that it "provides opportunities to create jobs, fostering local talent, and ensuring that every berry we produce continues to meet high standards of flavour and quality."
