This season, high temperatures and dry weather in Vietnam's dragon fruit-producing areas have caused fruit trees in many orchards to dry up, leading to reduced yields and a short supply. Recently, the price of dragon fruit in Vietnam has been about 50% higher than the same period last year. The high temperatures also pose significant challenges to preserving the freshness and quality of the fruit during the logistics process. SPM Biosciences (Beijing) Inc. specializes in post-harvest preservation services for fruits and vegetables. With the peak season of dragon fruit upon us, Debby from the company introduced ANGEL FRESH, their preservative product suitable for dragon fruits, along with its advantages.
The ANGEL FRESH preservative, developed by SPM Biosciences, is available in two main forms: tablets and sachets. "Usually, sachets are used in packaging boxes, while tablets are used for the entire container. For short-term shipments, sachets alone are sufficient; for long-term shipments of more than a month, we recommend using both products to enhance the preservation effect," Debby explained.
"The main active ingredient in ANGEL FRESH products is 1-MCP, an effective ethylene inhibitor that keeps dragon fruit fresh, reduces water loss, and maintains green scales longer, thereby extending the product's shelf life. Our ANGEL FRESH sachets come in various specifications suitable for different packaging sizes. The product is very convenient to use; simply place the sachet in the packaging."
"Our sachets can be used at all stages of the post-harvest process for fruits and vegetables, especially during storage and transportation. Additionally, we offer customized preservation solutions based on different packaging and usage scenarios," Debby added.
SPM Biosciences has nearly ten years of experience in the Chinese market. They have their own R&D, analysis, and service teams and have obtained sales qualifications in countries such as Argentina and the Dominican Republic. They are currently seeking sales agents in other regions. "Besides our many existing products, we hope to collaborate with more vegetable wholesalers, exporters, packers, and agents to help reduce the loss of fruits and vegetables in the supply chain. We can also provide free samples to customers for testing."
