From September 3rd to 5th, SPM Biosciences (Beijing) Inc., a post-harvest fruit and vegetable preservation service provider, participated in the Fruit Logistica Asia held in Hong Kong. This is the first time SPM Bio has participated in an international exhibition since the pandemic. The company focused on displaying customizable fresh-keeping tablet products at this exhibition.
According to Debby, head of the international department of SPM Bio, “This exhibition coincides with the harvest of fruits in Europe and Asia and the export of fruits from South America. What we focus on at this exhibition is 1-MCP tablets for fruit preservation in containers, which can be applied to a variety of fruits that are sensitive to ethylene, such as apples, pears, kiwis, stone fruits, avocados, and grapes."
She added: "1-MCP is an efficient post-harvest preservation product that can effectively extend the storage time of fruit and vegetable products and effectively avoid problems such as water loss, reduced hardness, and poor taste caused by transportation delays. Compared with containers not using 1-MCP tablets, the shelf life of fruit and vegetable products in containers using tablets can be extended by 50% to 200%."
"Our 1-MCP preservation tablets are specially used to preserve the freshness of fruits and vegetables transported in containers or trucks, whether for long-distance transportation or short-distance transportation. The product is very simple to use, and merchants only need to place the tablets in a confined space during transportation. In addition, we can also provide customers with customized preservation solutions based on shipping schedules and fruit varieties.”
"We obviously feel that the number of exhibitors and visitors has increased significantly during this exhibition. We are very happy to meet new and old customers, and the meeting schedule was very full every day. Unfortunately, the exhibition was canceled on the third day due to weather conditions, and some customers who were scheduled to come on the third day were not seen."
SPM Bio has nearly ten years of experience in the Chinese local market, has its own R&D, analysis and service teams, and has obtained sales qualifications in countries such as Argentina and the Dominican Republic. We are currently looking for sales agents in other regions. “In addition to the many existing products, we hope to cooperate with more vegetable wholesalers, exporters, packers and agents to contribute to reducing the loss of fruits and vegetables in the supply chain. SPM Bio can also provide free test samples for testing."
