Peruvian garlic exports registered a moderate increase between January and March of this year compared to the first quarter of 2022. In this period, according to Agrodata figures, Peru exported 3,699,948 kilos of garlic with a FOB value of 5,052,415 dollars. In the same period of 2022, the country exported 3,028,764 kilos worth 4,318,186 dollars.
Between January and March, Mexico was the main destination for Peruvian garlic, concentrating 42% of all exports for a value of 2,128,668 dollars. It was followed by the United States with purchases worth $1,484,697, Ecuador with $906,675, Australia with $203,120, Poland with $172,552, and Colombia with $62,148, among others.
The main exporting companies were Agroexportadora Sol de Olmos SAC with sales of $1,156,740, Agroindustrial E&C SAC with $471,150, Arbayaza Export SAC with $618,835 dollars, and White Lion Foods Agro SAC with $318,700 dollars, among others.
