Mission Produce announces new senior appointments

Mission Produce, Inc. announced the advancement of its sales and marketing departments to position the company for continued growth and to capitalize on evolving opportunities in the avocado and mango categories. Cheryl Hoefs joins the company as senior vice president (SVP) of sales and marketing to support Mission’s overarching corporate strategy and drive profitable growth. In addition, the company promoted several senior leaders within the sales department, including Brooke Becker, Patrick Cortes and Hector Soltero to vice president positions and Roberto Rodriguez to director of international exports.

“Mission is strategically developing its sales and marketing departments to enhance our ability to meet and exceed customer expectations and create value-added solutions,” said Tim Bulow, president and chief operating officer. “These leaders are poised to help drive continued growth across the company’s channels in the U.S. and globally while strengthening Mission’s current initiatives in people development and process improvement. I am confident in their ability to maintain our position as a category leader and achieve profitable results.”

Hoefs will oversee Mission’s business development, retail, foodservice and wholesale programs in the U.S., as well as international export sales. She is responsible for the leadership and development of the sales and marketing teams while facilitating a culture that embodies Mission Produce’s core values: fun, innovative, reliable, successful and trustworthy. She comes to the company with nearly 30 years of experience in business development, marketing and team leadership.

She previously held senior-level sales positions at companies including Sabra Dipping Company, The Kellogg Company, Acosta and PepsiCo. Her credentials include a Master of Business Administration (MBA) concentrated in Finance from Saint Mary’s College of California and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in Marketing from The Ohio State University.
