EU monthly oranges imports for 2021-2022 stood at 101.395 tonnes in October last year, the majority in that month (85.717 tons) coming from South Africa.
They then dropped down seasonally, getting back to 30.849 tons in January 2022 and eventually climbing to 161.166 tons last September.
Egypt was the largest exporter for the months of January to July, competing with Morocco. Argentine citrus did not make any impression on the number between October and July, and even then they mostly had a complementary character.
