This union will allow them to become the leading citrus marketer in Europe.

Fremman Capital acquires a majority stake in The Natural Fruit Company from GPF Capital and Label Investments

Fremman Capital (Fremman), GPF Capital, Label Investments, and the remaining existing shareholders, announced that Fremman had acquired a majority stake in The Natural Fruit Company (TNFC).
The company is a European leader in the processing, distribution, and marketing of citrus fruits, including lemons, oranges, mandarins, pomegranates, and persimmons. This acquisition is closely aligned with Fremman's approach to ESG, where TNFC is a leader in organic varieties, limited processing, and zero-waste approach.

El Grupo, headquartered in Spain, is the resulting combination of three family businesses, which joined to become the leading citrus marketer in Europe; the number 1 marketer of lemon and the number 2 marketer of oranges. TNFC controls nearly 900 hectares of plantations, mainly oriented to organic production, located throughout Spain and has a total processing capacity of about 400,000 tons of fruit per year. It operates eight facilities strategically located throughout Spain and has a logistics facility in Perpignan (France).

The citrus market is expected to have long-term growth, driven by positive consumption trends (such as increasing vitamin C consumption and general health awareness) as well as the increasing availability of citrus fruits throughout the year, thanks to the new varieties that allow prolonging the campaign. As a market leader, TNFC is in the best position to capture a greater share of this growth, as well as to capitalize on consolidation opportunities in this highly fragmented market. On this front, TNFC has a clear growth path envisaged through an active M&A strategy, leveraging its strong positioning and reputation in the market.
