The Maersk shipping company, through its subsidiary Sealand, will start operating in the facilities of the Paracas Port Terminal, of which Grupo Nogar is one of its partners, located in the Port of Pisco, Peru. According to the Peruvian Association of Maritime Agents, this service will improve travel costs and export times, and help decongest the port of Callao.
Maersk pointed out that, in blueberries alone, Peru went from exporting 10,000 tons in 2015 to 40,000 in 2017; consolidating the viability of the Paracas Port Terminal. The line will provide services from Peru to the United States with a stop in Panama, where there will be two programs, one for the Pacific coast in California and another for several states of the east coast.
