On December 20th at 10 in the morning, the first shipment of 205 tons of Nanfeng tangerines, worth over 200 thousand USD, left the Fuzhou North train station on the China-Europe Railway bound for Moscow. This was the first time that agricultural products from Fuzhou had been exported by train to the Eurasian market.

At present, the surface area for tangerine cultivation in Nanfeng covers 46,667 hectares. The average annual output is 1,300 million kg. It is sold to over 40 distant countries and territories. Last year, Nanfeng exported over 80 thousand tons of tangerines, earning 130 million USD. Nanfeng tangerines make up more than 90% of all citrus exports from Jiangxi province. This year the total income from exports is expected to reach 200 million USD.
