Maersk launches container service from India to Nepal

Maersk Line has launched a container service from Visakhapatnam, India, to Nepal and the first shipment left on June 6 for ICD, Birgunj, according to a press release.

The note says that Chennai Express will call on Visakhapatnam once a week for the service to Nepal.

Franck Dedenis, Managing Director of Maersk (India, Sri Lanka and Nepal), said the service be cost-effective, and offer customers the advantage of fixed transit time till the ICD, fixed customs activity, and set transportation charges besides online payment and remote tracking of cargo.
