Eating a kiwi before bed may help those with sleep problems

Sleeping problems affect many people across the world, but according to a new study they may be able to put down the pills and pick up a kiwi. While it remains a mystery as to why, researchers of Taiwan Taipei Medical University found in a study of 24 volunteers that those who ate kiwi before bed slept around 13% longer.

It also helped those who toss and turn trying to actually get to sleep. Those who ate the fruit before going to bed took 35% less time to fall asleep as well. Researchers believe it is a link to the antioxidant in the fruit and serotonin levels in the body, but further research must be done to pinpoint the complete cause.
