Pakistan: Enhancing citrus yield

In Sargodga, citrus farmers are being provided with assistance and modern technology to increase their yield per acre, reports the Director of the Citrus Research Institute, Altaful Rehman.

He told APP on Saturday 24 September that all out efforts were being made to resolve the issues facing farmers on a priority basis.

He said modern technology awareness, and quality and disease-free seeds and plants are being made available to farmers.

He asked farmers to visit the Citrus Research Institute, where proper consultation would be given to them.

He said the region is known as the largest citrus production market where a total of 1,237,051 tonnes of citrus is produced from 94,623 acres area every year.
