Packaging drives fruit sales

Chinese Fruit Day is specialised in (online) sales of high-end fresh fruits. To push sales, the company has recently launched new packaging lines.

To celebrate Women's Day, the company has designed a fruit gift box tailored for women. The gift pack included an imported American Pink Lady apple, fine brown sugar, a bottle of rose tea and a red rose.


All is wrapped in a small gift package with handles, easy to carry. The quote on the box in Chinese expresses the sentiment of 'A rose by any other name'.

Most of the company's clients are working women. To appeal to their audience, Fruit Day recently launched a grapefruit packaging, focusing on the fruit's high-fiber, low-sugar, low-calorie content.

The company was launched in 2009 and has since then focused on building out its network. Currently, it is focusing on direct fruit delivery to its clients. In November 2015, Fruit Day has launched a mobile app. Since then, the company has served over 7 million. Packaging and product innovation are key to the company's development.








The 2015 Christmas packaging resembles the house of Santa Clause. These boxes have been sold over 100,000 times.
