Dole Chile enters blueberry market and introduces fruit snacks locally

Dole Chile is currently involved in various innovation processes. After renovating 4 plants with an investment of US$ 20 million (with the goal of becoming more efficient and competitive locally in the long-term), it decided to enter the blueberry export market this year.

The company estimates that shipments of this fruit could fluctuate between 800,000 and one million kilos and the goal is to at least triple that figure in three years, reaching around a third of its total shipments and becoming one of the country's main blueberry exporters.

Additionally, the Dole Vegetables division has launched various innovative products in the local market that combine nutrition and taste. One of its latest creations, dried coconut, is different from those in the local market; it is presented in sheet format and not grated, allowing you to enjoy the fruit's flavour and natural texture. The fruit comes from the Philippines and meets the highest standards of production and quality; it ensures for a more nutritious and balanced diet, as it has a number of vitamins, minerals and fibre.

The company is also introducing dried fruits in the local market such as mango, pineapple, banana, apple, raisins and dates, in addition to individual pots or fruit bowls with ingenious natural preparations, handy to carry anywhere. The range includes peaches, apples or pineapples with parfait cream, fruit jellies and tropical fruits with 100% fruit juice, all without sugar or sucralose added and low in fat. The nuts are available in both family and individual packs.

Dole Chile is a leader in the supply, distribution and sale of fruits and vegetables of the highest quality to over 70 countries from different continents. The products currently exported include grapes, apples, kiwis, pears, plums, cherries, nectarines and peaches. International experience in healthy eating has positioned Dole as a promoter of change in eating habits in different countries.
