The Fruit Exporters Association of Chile (Asoex) reported that, on 19 September, the official journal of Brazil published the phytosanitary requirements for the entry of oranges, lemons and tangerines from Chile into Brazil. "It should be noted that the Agriculture and Livestock Service is drafting an official statement in this regard," he added.
Last week, Asoex announced that Chile's fresh fruit shipments to Latin America reached 510,198 tonnes during the 2013-2014 season, which is a small increase of about 1.5%. Exports to Brazil grew by 14.9%.
