Spain: Very promising export campaign for Murcia’s grapes

The Spanish grape producer and exporter Moyca, based in Murcia, which attended the first edition of the London Fresh Show (4 to 6 June), starts the export campaign this week after the harvest of the Superior and Ralli varieties. “We are 100 % devoted to exporting, and we visit events such as this one and others in Britain or Scandinavia to be closer to those markets. We are very happy, because many supermarkets are approaching us and are eager to import our grapes,” affirms Josefina Mena, sales manager.

According to Josefina, the grapes shipped by Moyca have a high Brix level, which ensures a great flavour. “Our fruit is cleaned really well, reaches large calibres and we ensure quality standards and volumes are maintained throughout the entire season, which lasts from June to November.”

The fruit is not only exported by road to other European countries, but also by sea in containers to destinations such as South Africa, Dubai or Canada. .”working with protocol 4 -5 hours, from harvest to shipment no more that it, always keeping the cold chain . We expect a very successful season, as the fruit’s quality this year is perfect and we have been developing some new varieties that will surely attract a lot of attention,” concludes Josefina Mena.
