The year 2014 marks the fiftieth anniversary of wholesaler Metro Cash & Carry Germany, reports the German website Gabot.de. Metro invites its customers throughout Germany to celebrate the anniversary week with numerous special offers and a rich and varied wholesale program.
"For us, 50 years of Metro Cash & Carry is not only a cause for celebration, but also an incentive for the future," says Axel Hluchy, CEO of Metro Cash & Carry Germany. "We want to show our customers that we understand their passion for their business, and that we fully support them in their cause. That is why we are using our anniversary year to invite both them and our staff to be part of the celebration."
The anniversary celebrations started in April in Hamburg and Berlin. During the so-called jubilee weeks, which will last until late October, there will be special attractions for its clients, from cooking shows with regional Metro customers to a discovery tour of the wholesaler. Additionally, customers benefit from special promotions and many other activities offered in cooperation with the suppliers.
