The Höri Bülle grows on the peninsula of Höri in the west of the region Bodensee. Bülle is the local name for onion. The vulnerable crop with a mildly sharp flavour was first documented in the eighth century. The Höri Bülle is known as a sensitive variety among onions. Because the onion is oval and very soft, it is difficult to harvest with machines. It can only be bred in own breeding. The seeds are not available in trade. Due to the expensive cultivation it is declining. The Büllefest has been celebrated in the municipality of Moos to honour the crop since 1976.
