Poland: Citrus prices not rising, despite Christmas demand

Despite the fact that Christmas is coming prices of citrus fruits are not rising and what is more some importers offer them at very attractive prices. It is possible because they buy fruits at low prices. Thanks to this, customers are very interested in citrus fruits.

Spanish lemons got cheaper last week and today cost 36.00 - 44.00 PLN/10 kg carton (3.60 - 4.40 PLN/kg). Mandarines from Spain cost in a small wholesale cost from 34.00 to 47.00 PLN/10 kg carton (3.40 -4.70 PLN/kg). Greek mandarin importers offer at 30.00 35.00 PLN/ 10 kg carton (3.00 - 3.50 PLN/ kg). There are also mandarin's from Morocco on the Polish market and cost less than 3.00 PLN/ kg.

Spanish oranges cost from 35.00 to 45.00 PLN/ 10 kg carton (3.50 - 4.50 PLN/kg). Smaller ones packed in bags cost 2.90 - 3.10 PLN/kg.

Grapefruit is the only citrus fruit in which prices has remained stable. Those from South Africa cost 58.00 - 65.00 PLN/ 16 kg. Sweetie from Israel are offered at 65.00 - 70.00 PLN/13 kg.
