Prim’land to take part in International Asparagus Days

The International Asparagus Days are a not-to-be-missed event in the asparagus world and provide responses to the technical and commercial issues raised by all the players in the asparagus industry.

The event will give Prim’land the opportunity to showcase its new asparagus offering under the Sabline brand.

Prim’land has broadened its offering to include several production areas specialized in high-quality asparagus. More than 200 tonnes of white and purple asparagus of French origin have been sold in 2013 in partnership with independent producers from South West France and the Loire Valley. Prim’land also sells around 100 tonnes of asparagus with the Navarre Protected Geographical Indication quality label.

Navarre asparagus growers mainly use rustic local varieties which are renowned for their tenderness, whiteness, calibre, and incomparable flavour. Navarre was awarded PGI recognition in 2003.

Over the next few years PRIM’LAND intends to develop new partnerships with producers from different areas in France, among other things in order to increase the available volume, but also to develop a high-quality offering in terms of marketing schedules between March and May.
