With good prices at the handling centres
Spain: Final sales of late orange varieties
Late orange varieties at the handling centres have increased in value in the past two weeks, reaching 0.50-0.55 Euro/kg for the loose format, 0.55-0.60 Euro/kg for bags and 0.60-0.65 Euro/kg for boxes. The larger calibres of the Valencia Late variety (3 to 5) are being sold for fresh consumption and the smaller ones (6 to 8) are being sold at lower prices for the production offruit juice.
As for processed Verna lemon sales, they have remained stable compared to previous weeks' figures, reaching prices of 0.70-0.75 Euro/kg for the loose format, 0.75-0.80 Euro/kg for bags and 0.85-0.90 Euro/kg for boxes.
Destination markets Wholesaler markets (Mercamadrid): New 7% increase in lemon prices, now reaching 1.30 Euro/kg. Oranges stay at the same value as two weeks ago, standing at 0.79 Euro/kg.
International markets: Navelate/Lanelate orange prices remain stable in Perpignan St. Charles, standing at 0.85 Euro/kg on average. As for Verna lemons, their value has increased by another 7%, reaching prices of 1.23 Euro/kg.
