US: Aldi distribution center project pushed back

The groundbreaking ceremony for the $50 million distribution center and regional headquarters that discount grocer Aldi is building at State Road 7 and Okeechobee Boulevard has been moved back to late July or early August.

A.M. King Construction, the project’s Charlotte, N.C.-based general contractor, had said the ceremony would happen around June 3, but Kelly Smallridge, the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County’s president and chief executive officer, said that date was premature.
