"The pineberry that we grow is a registered variety protected by growers rights. In the breeding programme various improved selections were found. In a few years they will also be marketed." Wim can see the sales of the pineberry increase. "There is already much more demand than last year. This is because the pineberry is known by an increasingly wide audience. The most important buyers are the better fruit shops and restaurants. Compared to an 'ordinary' strawberry the prices are different, relatively secure. The season will run for a while. They are available up until Christmas!"
At the Belgian wholesalers Fruit Vandepoel fresh and healthy are the key words. Customers can find any kind of fruit and vegetable imaginable in the assortment.
