Peru: 10th International Retail Congress 2013 begins

About 1,000 participants from various retail companies in the sector are present.

Yesterday, at nine in the morning the 10th International Retail Congress 2013 began with over a thousand attendees at the Westin Lima (Peru). Brands, products, companies related to retail are meeting today.

The presentations began with Hugo Santa Maria, director of Support Consulting, who said that the modern retail has grown rapidly in recent years, with sales for 7,000 million dollars last year. An important aspect of retail is that formal employment has slowly gained ground against the informal field. That is, there are more people who contribute, within a family, key revenue.

This aspect contributes to the rise of the retail industry. On the other hand, we have greater access to credit, compared to previous years, where everything, almost obligatorily, used to be bought in cash.

These and many other factors, will be exposed in this 10th International Congress of Retail
