Raley’s selects HarvestMark for distribution center Quality Management Solution

YottaMark Inc., provider of HarvestMark, the industry-leading fresh food traceability and insights platform, today announced that Raley’s Family of Fine Stores, the family owned grocery chain based in West Sacramento, California, has selected HarvestMark for its next generation Distribution Center (DC) quality solution. HarvestMark DC Insights provides mobile quality measurement tools and on-demand analytics that will help Raley’s monitor products at the point of receiving and optimize its supply chain to deliver superior-quality produce to shoppers.

According to FMI, 72% of shoppers choose their grocer based on the quality of the produce department. Research by Oliver Wyman, a consultancy, suggests shoppers buy 30% more produce when they are delighted by the freshness and quality in the department. HarvestMark DC Insights enables retailers to consistently apply metrics, digitally record results at the points of receiving, and build stronger partnerships with suppliers. Suppliers can be benchmarked and alerted when unexpected defects occur and how to correct them, increasing overall quality. HarvestMark DC Insights can even help buyers anticipate seasonal disruptions in supply and improve forecasts.
