Triples its production

Spain: Iberfruta conducts business in Huelva

The food company Iberfruta has made a significant investment in its plant located in La Palma del Condado (Huelva), thus multiplying its production by three, up to a volume of 5,000 tons of strawberries.

This increase in production capacity is due to last year's more than one million Euro investment by the Helios Group's company. Thanks to this, the factory installed an advanced freezing tunnel that allows an expansion of the range of treated products.

Currently, the company process strawberries, citruses, raspberries, blueberries, figs and melons, and plans to incorporate sliced olives. In addition, the plant has generated over 250 jobs, 86% of which are covered by inhabitants of the town of Huelva.

Iberfruta, whose head office is in Azagra (Navarra), is principally engaged in the production of semi-finished first processing fruit in aseptic packaging, frozen fruit, fruit in syrup and candied fruit for industrial customers.
