Cresco was very busy the last few days getting orders ready. "Garden cress has had an especially good run," reports Rita Prins. "Especially sales via exporters to foreign destinations went really well, with Poland leading the pack. We have received a lot of reactions and 'likes' on our Facebook pages from many Polish consumers who were led there via a QR-code."
Cresco has enough product available to meet the needs of their customers. "The advantage of garden cress is that it has a short growing time so it is very easy to plan," says Rita. "Easter always boosts the sale of garden cress. It is a good garnish to use and that includes using it in the Easter breakfast. In addition, garden cress is a healthy product which has led to a steady increase over the years."
Cresco has been specialising in the production of garden cress and other cress varieties since 1958. Along with production, Cresco also has a distribution and logistics centre in Honselersdijk.
