As Francesca Bergamini, export manager, explains "we have made quite a positive impression and we have established a number of business contacts."
The company has noticed how there's an increase in prices of quality Italian garlic. "The same can be said for other types of garlic, however we have increased our production by 50% in view of the next campaign, so that we can meet the demand for our guaranteed PDO product," continues Francesca.
In Berlin, Le Aie also presented its new range of processed products under the I Sapori delle Aie brand, which includes garlic and chili pepper flavoured oil, garlic cloves in oil, garlic paté and garlic flavoured balsamic vinegar.

"We are also collaborating with the Voghera DPO Garlic Producer Consortium to work on a new label that mirrors the quality of our product."

There are new positive signals coming from the market, among which Francesca stresses how "the PDO Voghiera garlic is going to be introduced in the high quality product range in mass retailing."
