UK: Innocent named most social brand
Innocent’s success – it came 7th last year – reflects the brand’s strong social media credentials; it has been praised for its tone, humour and the manner in which its offering reflects its packaging, design and core values.
Joe McEwan, communities manager, at Innocent, said: "We’ve always wanted to build actual relationships with our drinkers. It started with talking to people on our packaging, inviting them to call the bananaphone, meeting them at events we put on, and so on. It naturally extended into digital and then social media as those channels evolved."
The Social Brands 100 was created by social agency Headstream, from a crowd sourced list of nominated brands. The final 100 were scored by Brandwatch, the social media monitoring firm and a panel of industry judges which included Bruce Daisley, Twitter’s UK head of sales.
