Agrifast announces the Tom System

Spain: Agrifast launches new tomato and pepper guiding system

Agrifast a part of Grupodesa, one of the main industrial groups in Europe in the field of fastening with more than 60 years of experience, has launched The Tom System.

The Tom System is an electrical stapler designed to guide the plant in the greenhouses by using a world patent easy to use metal clip. The clip ties easily to the plant, preserving the growth of the plant and avoiding any harm but achieving considerable savings in labour cost.

The average labour reduction is about 40% with an average clipping speed of 1200-1400 clips per hour. But at the same time, compared to the twisting system, it reduces broken heads and does not require skilled or experienced labour. All in all quite a user-friendly system.

The Tom System has been already tested and implemented in several important horticultural regions of the world including the Netherlands, Mexico, UK, Spain and Australia.
