US: San Miguel launches new line of super salads

San Miguel Produce, a market leader and innovator in fresh-cut leafy specialty greens, has introduced 9 new Super Salads and Salad Kits for spring. The Super Greens Salad Series features 100% nutrient-dense, dark leafy specialty greens (no lettuce or spring mix; just pure nutrition).

Dietitians agree that these SUPER Greens are the healthiest, most nutrient-dense vegetables in the world. Although these Super Greens are traditionally served as a cooked side or main dish, San Miguel now offers these as ready-to-eat salads, for the first time ever. All Super Greens Salad are made up of 100 % nutrient-dense blends of kales, beet greens, spinach and Asian greens.

These are all triple washed and ready-to-eat, making it easy for home cooks to add healthy greens to any meal. The salads can be tried with a favorite dressing or one of the "salad-on-the-go" kits; these just required the application of a dressing, a shake, and to be let rest for 15 minutes before serving. These greens can also be used in a quick stir-fry, or added to boost nutrition to any sandwich and are also a great option for juicing.

The salads and salad kits come in convenient clamshells ranging in size from 7 to 16 ounces, with larger foodservice packs available in 2.5-pound bags, as well.
